Meet the HLBS leadership

We are grateful to everyone who attended our HLBS afternoon tea on June 2, 2024 at the Palace Convention Center in Laval. It was a wonderfully engaging and fascinating experience. Our inspiring guest speakers were Melpa Kamateros, who has directed the Shield of Athena network for the past thirty years, providing multilingual services and activities to thousands of women and children annually and is a founding member of Athena’s House in 2004, and Chris Dedes of agence Divin Paradis, promotional agent for Greek wine, spirits & beer.
Chris enthusiastically shared Greek winemaking traditions and provided a tasting of three great Greek wines: Domaine Skouras Peplo rosé, which boasts delightful floral notes; Ktima Pavlidis Thema 2023 Sauvignon blanc/Assyrtiko, a crisp and refreshing white; and Gaia Wild ferment Assyrtiko Santorini, known for its complex and mineral-rich flavor. Their presentations were both informative and inspiring, leaving us with memorable moments and valuable insights. Thank you for making this event memorable.

Our Annual Family Christmas Luncheon is the time for us to spend with our members, supporters, and their families, which is incredibly meaningful to us and creates a positive impact.
